WheelerRather than going home after the Neely Henry event I spent a few extra days here in Alabama at Lake Wheeler. Fishing
is pretty good over here, better than I have ever seen it. Looks like the Tennessee River Lakes are getting better.
Off to Lake Norman for the FLW Tour event in the morning.

PAA Tournament Neely HenryThe second PAA Tournament at Neely Henry was a great success! These tournaments are getting better
every event and I feel they will only continue to grow. I finished the event in 14th place fishing for Coosa River Spotted Bass. I had a special place about the size
of my boat on a current break on the main river. I must have caught 60 fish the last day on about 5 different
baits, worms, carolina rigs, jigs, tubes, etc. Scott Suggs and I worked the same area for the event, he is a top notch
guy and we had a good time talking and cutting up while we caught fish. The whole key was working the current seams
and basically it was exactly like trout fishing in a stream. If you moved the bait too fast or too slow they wouldn't
eat it. Basically you have to just let the bait drift with the current. Here at Wheeler
lake for a few days preparing for the upcoming Bassmaster Southern Open after the FLW Tour event at Norman. Wheeler
just seems to be getting better and better each year. Fishng has been great the last few days.
